Umm, out here in Rockland
County, just a little up the Hudson from NYC, is New City,
the County seat. In front of the Court house is a statue,
suspiciously aimed away from Main Street. Now Rockland County
is a largely republican, conservative county where people
go to raise kids on their way to retiring in Florida. So after
years of wondering, I still have no explanation for why the
only statue on the courthouse lawn looks like this. It's really
not open to any alterante and less scandalous interpretation.
So in this case, I think it we who are being molested by this
lurid and state-sanctioned piece of statuary.
